you really need to give the frontend at least 10s to be properly
recognised by the iOS device.
I'm not sure how the ATV declares its Bonjour services, but for some
reasons the way it appears with the various lib is different.
On the other hand, I doubt anyone ever attempt to play to an Apple TV
right when it's been launched. The ATV is usually sitting idled for a
while, so plenty of time to be recognised
my guess is you are having issue on the first time simply because
you're in the middle of the iPhone initialising the service

there's no support for slideshow and transition.

yes, music is definitely the most reliable service at this stage.
never had an issue with it

$ git describe
seems to be what most packaging tool are using for versioning.
It's built from fixes/0.27
should have used devel/027candidates now that I think of it..

those errors are harmless. it's just that it attempts to register a
new service starting with port number 6000 and up.
As 6000 is used, it displays so, then tries 6001 and so on.
As for "MythUIWebBrowser: failed to find our parent screen"
I've seen that with older Qt... not with the newer version
"Already have a different reverse socket for this connection."
now that one is weird, should never happen, unless the iphone attemps
to reconnect on the currently existing session.
i've almost never seen that
my next step is to switch to Qt5
