FWIW, I don't think the work around is the proper way to handle it.
It's just that, a work around. Doesn't fix the cause of the issue: why
would it not be re-entrant, and why would the same instance called
more than once at the same time...

All is happening now is that it doesn't run when its due to run simply
because another instance is on the way; no wait nothing.. just ignore
it
