I think we should be giving some visual feedback/indication of the zoom/fill 
status. Ideally flash it up on screen when the fill/zoom buttons are pressed 
and maybe also once for 3-4 seconds when you first start viewing images.

It's not the best user experience to be blindly pressing buttons with no 
feedback given in the hope that it eventually restores the picture to the 
desired size/fill/zoom/rotation/whatever. Worse if you happen to accidentally 
nudge a button you probably won't know what has just changed and therefore how 
to undo it.

There's also no context menu for that screen, so no way to fix these things 
without  knowing the bindings.
