I tried to reproduce the problem by uninstalling the ATrpms video4linux
packages from my el6 box. I also rebooted. No error seen; backend and
frontend restarted as normal and recordings could be played. Watch TV
reported all tuners busy. After reinstalling the packages it works as
normal.
kernel 2.6.32-274.14.1.el6.i686
dmesg | grep usb -> Product PCTV 290e
dmeg | grep DVB -> Sony CXD2820R (frontend 0 DVB-T/T2, frontend1 DVB-C)
not using DVB-C
