Yep it would, that's why I resisted implementing this for so long.
But the 480i recordings marked as 480p outnumber true 480p recordings
in my collection 10:0 so as hacks go it's seems pretty safe. And it
is still possible to use the UI to tell MythTV that the video is
progressive.
