I had the same problem with CentOS 6, I couldn't make it work, got
frustrated and installed Fedora 13, works like a charm.

Everything in CentOS *seemed* to work, and if I waited long enough the
Watch Recordings screen would come up, but I couldn't actually watch
anything. Mine never actually crashed, but it never worked either.
