For what it's worth, there is no such thing as 'album artist' in ID3 or 
ID3V2.  The specification does not allow for proper tagging of such 
compilation albums.  At best, you could fault MythTV for not following 
along with a semi-standard _abuse_ of either the TPE2 (band/orchestra) 
or TPE4 (remixed by) tags.  There actually isn't a consensus among media 
players on specifically what tag to abuse for this purpose.

Either way, it is not incorrect behavior, just behavior you do not like, 
which means changes to said behavior are a feature request.
