This has nothing to do with MythTV. Please take it to the Ubuntu bug tracker 
or Mythbuntu forums.

FYI, 0.24 has not been released yet. Updating from 0.23 to 0.24 RC1 is not 
recommended unless you know what you are doing. If Mythbuntu has 'upgraded' 
you to their pre-0.24 packages automatically then they've screwed up.
