Hmm, I'm not an audio expert by any means but I am unaware any current
widespread audio issues.

So, it maybe a config issue or something peculiar to your setup.

Have you tried the usual support options? mythtv-user mailing list, wiki etc.?

A couple suggestions:

o MythTV does not play well with Pulse Audio. (and it can re-enable itself!?)
o MythTV sound settings to experiment with:  "aggressive sound card
buffering", "Extra audio buffering", "Use video as timebase" (usually
best unchecked)

I would still suggest trying latest 0.22-fixes branch and also trunk
has recently (after the fixes branch off) received some audio related
patches.

I will re-open the ticket in case someone else has some insight.
