I wasn't wishing to imply there's any lack of commitment. Just my
impression from my few uses of Trac and from several posts here that
there's a strange sort of aloofness - which is fine, you provide your
time free, you should run it as you wish. It was just that someone
(maybe one of the developers) expressed concern that providing one
feature might discourage reports of bugs in another. My feeling is
that the way Trac is run would be more of a deterrent.

The only contribution I've made to Myth is the "Interlaced"
deinterlacer (and admittedly only because I desperately needed it
myself). There are a couple more things I've been thinking of looking
at. Mostly I haven't because of my "lack of commitment", but
I think it's also true I'm partly put off by the thought that
I might easily open a ticket add a patch and have it closed
with no comment. Or I might fix what seems a bug but not be able
to get it into fixes because it's not classified as a bug.
