I use mplayer because of its larger and much more nicely rendered
subtitles (that also feature automatic codepage recognition).

Plus there are mplayer versions available that are multithreaded while
the Myth internal player is using standard (non-mt) ffmpeg. This is
important difference for non-VDPAU users, I guess.

I use it for 100% of my video collection currently.
