Yes, I was thinking about putting a quick lookup
table in there, but decided it wasn't worth it.
The default behaviour covers 95% of TZ faults.
Thought the code deserved a comment, though.


Note: Having a popup like
"Warning! Current time ... differs ..." or
"Warning! ... %1 seconds" might also be nice.
Maybe return a warning string from checkTimeZone()?

Yes. One thing that really bugs me about Java is
that it had its own TZ files. I am very tired of
continually having to download tzupdater and test,
just because some government decides to change
their country's DST rules.

(of course, only a problem in the old
  JDKs that I have to sometimes support)
