[mythtv] Qt 4.4.0 sluggish compared to 4.3.4. Anyone else experienced the same ?

Hi devs,

With a recent mythtv svn, i compiled up mythtv/plugins with qt 4.4.0 and 
noticed a sever performance degradation insomuch as the menus were slow, 
the epg jerky, and even the prescaling and caching of the (retro) theme 
when mythtv starts up become unberably slow - in the order of 5 minutes 
before i get the initial menu screen.

Keeping the same mythtv svn and recompiling back to 4.3.5 and everything 
is snappy as before. This is with no other changes, so it's not my 
nvidia driver settings, audio settings, etc.

Has anyone else seen this behavior ? Should we warn people of this 
anomaly  ?
