[mythtv] Stuttering playback on OSX

Wondering if anyone else is seeing this on 0.21-fixes

Trying to playback a recording on my OSX frontend the video stutters
quite while the audio sounds okay. Initially this was with r16490

Looking in the logs the first time this happened I was getting
"Audio buffer overflow, audio data lost!"
which seems a bit strange considering the audio was sounding okay.

I could fix the stuttering by changing timestretch to != 1x
which disables passthrough.

Updating to 16509, the same symptoms exist but the logs show
that the a/v sync code is getting stuck with the error
"Video is x.xxxx frames behind audio (too slow) dropping frame
to catch up" where x is between 3.0 & 3.3.

Again, going to timestretch != 1x cures the problem.

Currently updating to latest -fixes to see if the problem has
been solved. Otherwise it's a high/critical ticket candidate.
