I like the format to be like this:-

There is no format in the system wide DateFormat that allows for a 
format like this, even if there was it wouldn't work very well for other 
parts of Myth. The format has until recently been hardcoded to produce 
the format I like but someone wasn't happy with that and wanted the 
format to be configurable. Most people will be quite happy with the 
default format but those who aren't have the option to change it using 
the MythWelcomeDateFormat setting. What's the problem with that, as if I 
didn't know :-)
