Well, in the mean time, the GUI is clear in such circumstances even if not
functional. (it shows that it's "busy" currently attempting to execute an
action and then following a brief (30sec) wait time shows it is not being
successful, and there is a functional [cancel] button to allow the user to
terminate it).  I will have to attempt this from behind a different/better
firewall (home, not work where I am presently), and let you know.
