proper x264/mkv support needs to be worked on. It's something not
really in ffmpeg, but mplayer does have code to support. The Internal
player currently plays, but it can't skip around properly, the video
freezes, etc.

The other thing that would be nice is for proper streaming support.
Right now there are a couple hacks for MythMusic for streaming audio.
One uses mplayer for some reason, the other seems to work fine for the
internal player, but not all stations can be added (I think only
Shoutcast works?). Things like streaming cache size and being able to
play any audio stream would be nice.

So right now I'll actually SSH in and use Amarok to play the streaming
stations I listen to and I use mplayer for my x264 files.

It would also kind of be nice to have a high quality scaler
implemented for DVD on HDTV watching. I love my Oppo 981HD, but I'd
much rather use Myth for DVD's and use the Oppo just for
SACD/DVD-Audio.

I realize this is a "wish list", but you did ask.
