Depends on my time, at most once a week or if something important gets
committed. It was irregular in the past but I'll try to sync more
regular now that the repo is public.

I could host it in a separate branch. I need to look at the patch before
deciding if I want to integrate it into mythtv's libav* copy but
generally I try to avoid adding differences to the copy since it makes
syncing harder.

Missing from the repo is a branch ffmpeg-latest which will always
contain the latest sync. I might add another branch ffmpeg-experimental
which would be ffmpeg-latest plus patches not yet in ffmpeg trunk (for
example latm or frame level multithreading).
