Thanks. Mark Buechler also prepared a ffmpeg merge patch a few days ago,
which is a bit sad because that effort was duplicated. But there's no
use crying over spilled milk :)

The LATM parser sounds interesting, we might add that for Ubuntu
Intrepid. There are some patches by Ron Frazier which I can't seem to
find in Trac. Can you elaborate what these do?
