#4699 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4699 - should not be (I hope)
necessary with QT4.
#4706 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4706 - trivial, may affect linux? -
definitely won't affect Linux, the changes are in Win32 code only. When I
was writing this Win32-specific code, I misinterpreted what was done with
Berkeley sockets. This patch brings the logic of Win32 code closer to the
original.

Nigel,
GIven the number of win32 commits you've done recently, are you looking to
review/apply the other outstanding Win32 patches?
outstanding win32 patches:
#5190 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/5190 - trivial, obvious
#4718 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4718 - simple dvd playback for
win32
#4702 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4702 - minor .pro changes, and close
stdout/stderr on release builds
#4699 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4699 - only affects win32
#4706 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4706 - trivial, may affect linux?
#4724 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4724 - trivial, but there is
probably a better solution
#4984 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4984 - big?
win32 tickets that just need closing:
#4800
#5160
Interested?
Buzz.

there is a bug in the command-line options for the 'configure' line in QT4.
I will upload a patch in a few minutes.
Applied.
