Thanks for the info Stuart, I will try to update to HEAD this weekend.

My managers husband works for Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) in Aus, so I
want to get a handle on what can be done and will try to get the
inside scoop on using their data for Aus.

Creating generic page types would be nice, BOM has a lot of
"observation" data. Data from Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) that
list half hourly observations of many different parameters. see

A generic graph screen that would allow graphing of data extracted
from the half hourly rainfall or temperature or whatever. That would
be cool.

Having thought some more about it maybe this can/should be done in the
scripts, generate the graph using pythin / perl / magic scripting
language and use the static image page you said already exists.
Although if there was a graph page it could be better integrated with
the themes.
