I'd love more details, like which phase (connection/streaming), does it
depend on the stations, and if possible (although loads of output),
running with "-v playback,network" would give some debug output.

Yeah unfortunately most major radios (BBC and DR (not so major)
included) don't have icecast/shoutcast streams but use windows
whateverformat or realplayer. Some day... (when there's extra 8 hours to
the day).
