[mythtv] 'Edit recordings' broken in 0.21_trunk_r12674

Yesterday I installed the new 'bleeding' package from ATrpms.

Edit recordings - to make a cutlist - is now broken.  It was OK in 
r12545, Axel's previous release for FC5.  I posted this yesterday on 
atrpms-users but it probably belongs here.

After a few adjustments of step size and skipping backwards and forwards
the editor suddenly becomes unresponsive and mythfrontend CPU usage in
'top' reaches 95% or more.

Frontend log shows:
