[mythtv] [mythtv-commits] Ticket #3986: EPG slow in latest SVN

I'm seeing a slow guide as well, but here's what I've been able to figure
out:

1. When the guide is up, Xorg goes to 99%.
2. If Xorg is hovering around 99% in the guide, even after exiting the guide
Xorg stays around 99% for several minutes afterward.
3. The problem seems to happen with non-interlaced content only.
4. Some Xorg versions are worse than others.
5. NVidia's sync to vblank, if set to 0, gets around the issue entirely.

Now, I have to keep sync to vblank set to 1 so I'm forced to live with the
issue but it can be annoying at times. My frontend is a core duo 2.6ghz with
2gigs or RAM, so I know I have plenty of horsepower.
