[mythtv] Ticket #4270: MythTV on Windows (with MinGW)

Andrei,
I have tried your qt2.patch ( ie and recompiled all of QT and myth again),
and like you said, the stability seems to have improved. Great!

I now have the mythtv-setup.exe run to the point that it will now run
through most of the menu options without crashing ( except for trying to add
a capture card ), and mythbackend.exe now starts/runs, connects to the
database, all without crashing.... although mythfrontend.exe seems unable
to to communicate with the backend, even though it's running on the same
host:

2007-12-29 22:31:21.176 Connecting to backend server: 127.0.0.1:6543 (try 1
of 5)
2007-12-29 22:31:22.161 Connection timed out.
You probably should modify the Master Server
settings in the setup program and set the
                        proper IP address.

Mythfilldatabase.exe runs too, and reports the same "connection timed out"
error:

2007-12-29 22:37:58.286 Connecting to backend server: 127.0.0.1:6543 (try 1
of 5)
2007-12-29 22:37:59.286 Connection timed out.
You probably should modify the Master Server
settings in the setup program and set the
                        proper IP address.
2007-12-29 22:37:59.286 mythfilldatabase run complete.

Let me know what else I can do to help!

Buzz.
