I agree there should be some form of feed back when the timestretch
value is changed but I'm not sure we need it visible all the time (most
people just play music and aren't going to use timestretch at all for
that). What I do in the mini-player is use the info_text field as an
information line. Most of the time it just shows the current bit rate,
channels... but when the volume is changed or shuffle mode is toggled
etc then it changes show the current setting value for a few seconds
then changes back. Maybe something similar could be done in the main
playback screen.
