[mythtv] XvMC OpenGL OSD

Hello,

My main myth box runs a lowly Athlon XP 2600+ with a 5200FX. Am I right 
in thinking that it's unlikely I'll get good performance from the XvMC 
OpenGL OSD? I have tried it once - it looked nice, but I had major 
stuttering, prebuffering pauses, IOBOUND errors and extended channel 
change times.

Am I doing something horribly wrong? Or is it just not going to work for 
me on this machine?
