[mythtv] Mythtv.org and MythWeb Flash

A current issue I have with playing recordings in mythweb is it's reliance on the local filesystem to locate recordings. I currently run mythweb on a separate web server. So when I go to stream files - it can't find them. It just seems that more and more mythweb is becoming just another frontend - and if this flash video is added - that is more and more server resources. So I feel that more people will want to drop mythweb on it's own server.

I've been thinking of using mythprotocol to request the files from the back end. Is this something people would like me to work on? Is it already being worked on?

Thanks,
Craig.
