Are you using alsa or AC3 passthrough or anything different
in your audio setup?

Both the original and the transcoded version played the audio
at fast-forward speed for me.  The transcoding on the first
sample did not segfault either, so maybe that will help
figure out what's going wrong if I can figure out what's
different betwen your setup and mine.
