[mythtv] LiveTV player using .20 perl bindings

To make it a bit more mom-friendly, have a look at Tapeworm [*]. It is 
basically a small shell on top of the MythTV database to show proper info 
per show, and it plays the files through e.g. mediaplayer classic.
