You shouldn't need to copy the gallyer-ui.xml from default-wide to 
MythCenter-wide.  If a file does not exist in the theme, the one in 
default (or default-wide, as appropriate) is automatically used, instead.

Therefore, it's likely that you have a problem with the frontend 
installation on your system (permissions issue on the default-wide 
directory/files, perhaps?).  Remember, also, that /all/ mythtv 
components (all backends and all frontends and all plugins) should be 
the same version (and the same revision of SVN).
