What filesystem are you using for your video store? I have had some
issues with that myself since I converted from XFS to JFS (Bad idea, I
think). I plan to change back, unless somebody has a better
suggestion. I also run an NVidia card and did experience severe
stuttering with OpenGL enabled, but turning it off seems to have fixed
that, although the on-screen displays appear grey now, and look as it
they are interlaced.
