[mythtv] svn 9410 crashes in "watch recordings"

In case anyone wants to know, I've recently tried:

1) Using 0.19 proper (not svn).  Similar behavior,
except the crash occurs the moment I exit out of a
recording I'm watching.  Curiously, I tried changing
the theme from MythCenter to Titivillus and
mythfrontend started crashing before even completing
the high-level GUI menu.  I had a completely dead Myth
system at that point.  I had to re-install all the
files from SVN (now at 9429) to get life out of it
again.

2) Changing the nvidia driver from 7667 to 7676.  When
I was still using 0.18.1 of myth, I was able to use
6111 as well.

3) Turned off de-interlacing completely and unchecked
"use opengl vsync for timing".

Still, no go.  My mythbox is essentially DOA.  Now,
using 9429 with deint turned off, and no vsync, and
using the latest MythCenter theme, if I watch a
recording and then exit, mythfrontend freezes at the
"select a recording to watch" screen, after taking a
very long time to refresh the screen.  It doesn't seem
to be a hard system freeze as I can still shell into
the box.  But X and myth are finished at that point.

Now, as the WAF plummets to below 0, I am feeling
really f$&@ing stupid.  Stupid one for thinking
upgrading to 0.19+ wouldn't be too high a risk, for
getting a few things working right, like getting
deinterlacing to work properly.  And stupid two for
not backing up my database so I could revert back to
0.18.1 in case things blew up,

Eh, in any case, if anyone's still interested, here
