Well, it would be simple enough for Zap2it to add a 'don't add new 
channels to my listing' option (or just a 'lock listing' option), then 
they wouldn't be serving all that extra data. An email to the registered 
account holder with new channel updates would suffice, I think.

Perhaps not adding new channels, but notifying the user in some way that 
there are new channels available?

That would work too, but really, we shouldn't have to do that. I realize 
they are providing a free service, but I think it would be to everyone's 
benefit for them to allow locking the listing, no?
