[mythtv] XvMC compile problem (libmythtv-0.19.so: undefined reference to `XvMCPutSlice2')

I’m using the stable 0.19-fixes branch with nvidia binary drivers and
XvMC enabled, but the performance gain does not seem to be anywhere near
of what I expected. I’ve seen posts where people claim to successfully
watch 1080i with a 1.5GHz proc. and XvMC enabled. On my system (an
Athlon64 3700+ with 1GB of Dual Channel DDR) I still get near 100%
utilization. So I’m thinking that myth compiles agains a wrong version
of XvMC.

In the past the configure script would autodetect and use libXvMCW
wrapper library and everything would compile fine, but when I force it
to use libXvMCNVIDIA when I compile I get the following error:

libmythtv-0.19.so: undefined reference to `XvMCPutSlice2'

I’ve spent few hours googling around, but any info I found refers to the
VIA implementation of XvMC.
Does anyone know how to resolve it? If this functionality is missing
from the libXvMCNVIDIA, how do other people manage to compile agains the
nvidia libs?

Thank you.
