Back when I had a TV that only took 1080i via composite, I fed it
540p(60Hz) with the BOB deinterlacer and it looked fantastic. Now I
have a TV which takes 1080p(60Hz) and BOB just results in a picture
which moves up & down 30 times a second. I have been using
Kerneldeint but am not that happy with it. I will give one-field a
try.

There are times when it would be nice to be able to choose the
deinterlacer based on either resolution or channel. Which do you
think make more sense, channel or resolution?

I don't have time in the near future, but I may work on this at some point.
