Try putting MythTV in "Antenna Adjust" mode, using F7.
Then try capturing the TS stream from the device using cat.

The antenna adjust mode should prevent the EIT scanner from
running, but keep signal monitoring going. It's possible that
a DVB driver bug corrupts the stream whenever a signal
monitoring ioctl is issued.
