I'm seeing exactly the same problem on 8728. XvMC has always worked, and 
did work until upgrading last night to 8725. I figured my source tree 
had been through a lot lately so I completely deleted it and re-checked 
out the source with the same result.

I am compiling against XvMCNVIDIA with Nvidia driver 7676. Next thing to 
do will be to recompile my Nvidia driver and reinstall the XvMC 
libraries to see if that helps.
