this is the trailing / problem again (with my 1.3.34 mod_rewrite anyway)
I changed mine to
RewriteRule
(css|data|images|js|themes|skins|[a-z_]+\.php)(/|$) - [L]
RewriteRule ^(/.+)$ $1/mythweb.php
[QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ mythweb.php/$1
[QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ mythweb.php
[QSA,L]
the 2nd rule is when the uri is
/www/htdocs/mythweb from an original uri of http://xxx/mythweb
if the uri starts with a / its not relative and then correctly translates to
what's required.
http://xxx/mythweb/ has a relative uri of "" and uses the last rule
seems to work.
