[mythtv] Compiling myth with bounds-checking

Hey all, I'm currently in-progress getting myth to compile with the
'bounds-checking' extension for GCC 4.0.2.
( see: http://sourceforge.net/projects/boundschecking/ )

It's an interesting experience, and I just thought I'd put out a feeler to
see if anyone has done similar before. I'm getting a significant (huge)
number of errors (multiple frees, NULL references, etc) that are being
detected, and will be feeding these back to the list over the coming
days/weeks, as I get a handle of the ins-and-outs of the myth compile/build
process more.

I'm also considering attempting using 'mudflap' (an alternate to
bounds-checking and/or valgrind) and depending on success with the
bounds-checking extension, will let you know how it goes.

Buzz.
