Just for the record I have the exact same problem with a be/fe commbo and
running svn 9053. I can switch channels, jump in and out of live tv and
never have a problem, but at the end of a program the backend always
switches to a new recording file and the frontend can't read it. I have
checked and the new file always exist and is growing. Exit out of live tv
and re-enter and all is fine until the end of the program. I've done a
complete new svn co. Removed and re-installed every mythtv file and
executable. Changed ivtv drivers from 0.4.1 to 0.4.2 and even tried
the 0.5.1 pre-release. Upgraded sound ALSA libraries and changed
unichrome drivers. I have tried using the Standard, Standard XvMC, VIA
XvMC, and libmpeg2 decoders and get the same behavior with all.
