[mythtv] Transcode output utterly garbled?

Posting just to confirm that all of my transcode attempts with 0.19 have 
resulted in similar output.
Lots of horizontal bands of colour.

I'm in UK using a Hauppauge Nova-T DVB-T card.

Also an mplayer identify showed the .nuv file had a frame rate of 29.97 
even though the original input is PAL.
