[mythtv] Ticket #1219: LiveTV takes a while to start, and video jerks forwards

Only as a note, I'm currently compiling 8300 and if that works fine, I 
will try 8400 and work my way round whatever happens.  No point in 
someone else compiling 8300 or 8400 if I'm doing it ;)
