Although I agree a separate application that runs to provide OS/SVN 
Rev/Alignment of the planets etc. would not be run very often by users 
reporting bugs, if the program automatically posted to Trac via some 
form of web-service then it would be a really nice time saver as well as 
giving details in a consistent manner.

If such a thing were possible (perhaps not even a real webservice but 
just a simple QHTTP post data app) then a message could be placed on 
Trac on the new ticket page that submissions via mythtrac(tm) is 
preferred etc.

I know this isn't a high priority development target, just thinking on 
my feet as to what would be useful.


I've not used trac all that much, tho' am very seriously considering 
swithcing my works cvs/bugzilla setup to it having observed how it's 
working here.

Got a fair few cvs based scripts that we run which may be a pain to 
migrate, but hey ho. :)
