I haven't tried your patch, but doesn't it do the same as the 
mythweb-recstatus_without_subtitle_and_description.patch ( 
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/attachment/ticket/1874/mythweb-recstatus_without_subtitle_and_description.patch 
) on #1874 ( http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/1874 )?  If so, the patch 
in #1874 is definitely quicker.  :)
