[mythtv] Should I add a new cardtype to the database?

Hi all,

I am partway through creating a patch for V4L2 hardware encoding cards 
(blackbird, in my case).  To differentiate this card I figured I'd add a new 
cardtype to the db -> V4L2MPEG, but before I knacker my database sideways I 
thought I'd check with you guys to see if you have any thoughts on the 
matter.
