I have been leaving a fair amount of debugging on for a while now. I
just had to find time to go through the logs.
132k of logs from last Monday night are online at: http://
www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~willu/mythbackend.log.2005-10-24
The logs have been trimmed a little:
- times between 7pm and 10pm.
- I've removed all corrupted packet and continuity count errors
from DVB#2 (cardid 3)
As a way to find which programs in this log:
All scheduled programs get a "Started recording:" log entry,
whereas only those that actually started recording also get a
"Prog title:" entry.
Here are just those log lines: (forgive the housemates some of their
questionable taste...)
2005-10-24 19:28:03.242 Started recording: Supernanny "Larmer
Family": channel 1001 on cardid 2, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 19:28:03.885 Started recording: Mythbusters "Killer Brace
Position": channel 1003 on cardid 3, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 19:28:04.135 Started recording: Australian Idol "Final Six
Verdict": channel 1078 on cardid 1, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 19:28:04.769 Prog title: Mythbusters
2005-10-24 20:30:02.849 Started recording: South Park "How To Eat
With Your Butt": channel 1003 on cardid 3, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 20:30:03.128 Started recording: Grey's Anatomy "Make Me
Lose Control": channel 1007 on cardid 2, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 20:36:26.441 Prog title: South Park
2005-10-24 21:00:02.820 Started recording: Drawn Together: channel
1003 on cardid 3, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 21:00:03.658 Prog title: Drawn Together
2005-10-24 21:13:02.538 Started recording: Media Watch: channel 1002
on cardid 1, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 21:30:03.228 Started recording: 24 "Day Four: 2:00 AM -
3:00 AM": channel 1007 on cardid 2, sourceid 1
2005-10-24 21:58:02.337 Started recording: Queer as Folk: channel
1003 on cardid 1, sourceid 1
The South Park recording does seem to start late (note the 6 minute
gap between the 'Started Recording' and the 'Prog title' log entries
for this show).
Also interesting is that the recordings that work are all on card 3.
Cards 1 and 2 are FusionHDTV Lite cards - they normally work much
better than the 3rd card
Card 3 is a VisionPlus HDTV (Twinhan chipset)
looking in my kernel logs around that time I see a whole lot of lines
like this:
Oct 22 18:28:03 dundood kernel: bt878(0): irq FDSR risc_pc=0f64f008
I'm going to switch the eit binaries back in, and see if I can figure
out when my cards die.
Be well,
Will :-}
