With the current code, if original airdate information is not
available, it uses the record date.  But your are right, it ignores
the "Newest recordings first" flag.

I agree that it is best not to confuse the average user.

No problem.  My "update" script already applies a few "personal"
patches whenever I grab a new version from SVN.  The easiest way for
me to do this, is to get a copy of what ever patch you apply to "fix"
the issue, so I can setup an inverse in my personal tree.
