A representative one:
2005-10-19 12:59:46.109 Scheduled 162 items in 0.9 = 0.63 match + 0.23 place
Changing the mysqld priority doesn't eliminate the glitches. (niced to +5):
2005-10-19 13:11:57.973 Scheduled 162 items in 2.4 = 1.95 match + 0.41 place
2005-10-19 13:13:05.516 Scheduled 162 items in 0.8 = 0.52 match + 0.24 place
These are mostly tvwish requests, plus a few find-one or find-all I've
scheduled.
In the meantime, I'd recommend that this scanning default to "off" for those
who don't explicitly request it.
Thanks.
