Thought about that, but this part of the code is asynchronous.
If you want the caller of HandleEIT to delete this then you will
need a callback to say you've handled those events. By the time
you have handled those events you may have received quite a number
of other event lists, and then you need identification etc. etc...
btw. This is the biggest leak of them all....
